Outlander-Themed Holiday Party

I had a great time today at this year’s Holiday Tea (converted to a late lunch, because we had to move the venue due to the number of attendees). The theme was Outlander or “time travel from any ’40s decade.” We had folks in 1740s, 1840s, and 1940s. Everyone’s outfits were beautiful, and I enjoyed seeing so much vintage (with fantastic hats!).

The restaurant, Killarney House, was very nice to allow us to bring in a large crowd and hang out for more than three hours. We came in between the lunch and dinner rushes, so we had most of the place to ourselves. In addition to the meal, we also had a yankee swap gift exchange, and time for photos. A big thanks to my co-organizers, Isabella and Maggie–the afternoon was wonderful!

I am very happy with how my outfit turned out. The jacket worked nicely.

Maggie and I were very match-y. I made our mitts and the cowl scarves. The mitts were featured in my Etsy shop. (I hope to knit more soon.)

Plus we had the same shoes, from Fugawee.

And a wacky group shot, to end the day.
